This Academy is about a Total Identity Shift.

It was built to transform who you are in and out of the saddle. Through structured, level-based progression, you'll develop the mindset, movement, and mastery that shape not just how you ride, but how you live. You’ll begin as a White Rider, learning how to train your body, rebuild your habits, and align with the rider you’re meant to become. Each level is designed to evolve your identity on top of your fitness, and that kind of change takes time. You’ll move through 3-month stages until Blue Rider, where the timeline expands to 6 months per level, because deeper mastery takes deeper commitment.

By the end, you won’t just ride better, you’ll become the version of yourself that lives with balance, purpose, and harmony alongside your horse.

How the MRT Academy Transforms You

White Rider - Start with the fundamentals. Build structure, consistency, and awareness as you lay the foundation for your fitness, mindset, and riding journey.

Yellow Rider - Develop body control and balance. This phase is about creating stability—physically and mentally—so you can ride with more confidence and calm.

Green Rider - Strengthen your connection. Learn to move with awareness, improving your posture, timing, and ability to respond to your horse with harmony.

Blue Rider - Build suppleness and endurance. You’ll increase flexibility, control, and conditioning, helping you move fluidly both in and out of the saddle.

Black Rider - Ride with power and precision. At this level, every movement is intentional, and your presence in the saddle reflects true mastery.

The Method Behind the MRT Academy

The Academy is a structured progression system built on purpose. Each MRT Rider Level aligns with the Equine Canada Rider Levels, follows the development principles of the Dressage Training Pyramid, and is infused with the discipline and precision of Taekwondo biomechanics and resistance training.

As you move through the Academy, you’ll follow a path inspired by the Taekwondo belt system—from White Rider to Onyx Rider—symbolizing your growth in control, coordination, mindset, and body awareness. Each level adds layers of skill and finesse, just like mastering techniques in martial arts.

Whether you're just starting or refining your riding at a higher level, this unique structure ensures you're building balance, connection, and harmony—in and out of the saddle.

  • Equine Canada Rider Level Integration

    The MRT Rider Levels are inspired by the official Equine Canada Rider Program. While we don’t teach riding skills directly, we use this framework to ensure each level of the Academy supports the physical and mental demands expected of riders at that stage. You’ll progress in a way that complements your riding goals, from foundational balance to refined control.

  • Training Pyramid Principles

    Though traditionally applied to the horse, we flip the Training Pyramid to guide your own development. Each level targets a key building block—like relaxation, rhythm, or straightness—ensuring your body becomes a steady, supple partner capable of supporting your horse’s correct training.

  • Resistance Training Progression

    Every MRT level includes structured resistance training designed to build balanced strength, muscular endurance, and postural alignment—without adding bulk. We focus on symmetry and injury prevention so that your body becomes more stable, responsive, and effective in the saddle.

  • Taekwondo Principles for Riders

    Martial arts teaches control, discipline, and powerful biomechanics—qualities every rider needs. MRT draws from the Taekwondo belt system to create a clear progression path, helping you develop coordination, body awareness, and mental resilience with every level you unlock.

Yoga and Pilates can support flexibility and posture—but they weren’t built to meet the specific physical demands of riding. They often focus on isolated movement or passive control, while riding requires active coordination, responsive balance, and full-body integration under dynamic conditions.

  • Nope. This program was designed for equestrians at any stage—whether you’re riding every week, returning after time off, or simply looking to reconnect with your body and mindset as a rider.

  • Not a problem. The White Rider level is built for that exact purpose—to rebuild your body, habits, and energy from the ground up. You’ll be guided step-by-step with accessible workouts, habit tools, and coaching to help you create real, lasting change.

  • You’ll only need a few essentials:
    ✔️ Fabric resistance bands (for glute and activation work)
    ✔️ Resistance bands with handles (for upper/lower body movements)
    ✔️ A set of light, medium, and heavy dumbbells
    ✔️ A yoga mat or padded floor space
    ✔️ A sturdy chair or box for stability exercises

    That’s it. The MRT Academy is designed to be done from home with minimal space and gear.

  • You’ll have 3 months of access to each MRT Rider level (until Blue Rider, where the timeline extends to 6 months). This structure gives you the time and space to absorb the material, implement it, and embody the transformation before progressing.

  • Each level is self-paced within your access window. You can rewatch lessons, catch up when needed, and move forward when you’re ready. You’ll also get reminders and encouragement to help you stay on track.

  • No. You’ll unlock each level as you progress. This prevents overwhelm and ensures you stay focused on building a strong foundation before adding more complexity.

  • While yoga and Pilates focus on flexibility and core engagement, the MRT Academy goes further. It combines functional strength training, martial arts-inspired mobility, and structured habit coaching designed specifically for equestrians. You’ll build flexibility, balance, and control—but also power, stamina, coordination, and mindset tools that directly improve how you move and ride in real life, not just on a mat.

  • Yes. Each member gets email support, bonus resources, and access to a private forum or group (coming soon) where you can connect with other riders on the same journey.

  • If you’re on a monthly membership, yes—you can cancel before your next billing cycle. Annual members have access for the full year. As this is a digital program with instant access to resources, all sales are final.
